Why this site exists
Search for almost any product and you get pages of rankings with no stated criteria, where the top pick changes depending on who is paying. The specification that decides whether a product is right for you is usually buried, and the tradeoff nobody mentions is the one you find out about a month after buying.
We take the opposite approach. Before we rank anything, we state what we are judging it on. Every product is scored on the same five weighted criteria, and the weights are published on How We Review so you can check our reasoning against your own priorities. If value matters more to you than warranty, you can see precisely how much of our score each one accounts for.
What we cover
- Power: portable power stations, solar panels, generators, and power banks
- Home Office: office chairs, gaming chairs, and printers
- Fashion: everyday clothing and accessories, judged on fabric, construction, and sizing

Each category has a named writer who covers it, so a recommendation comes from someone who has looked at the whole field rather than one product in isolation.
How we work
We read manufacturer documentation in full, compare products against the published standards their category uses, and look for the failure patterns that only show up across large volumes of owner reports. We do not run a laboratory and we never claim to. Where a measurement appears in one of our articles, we name where it came from.
Every review says who the product is wrong for. That single habit is the difference between a review and an advertisement.
How we make money
HNL Deals earns affiliate commission when a reader buys through a link here. The price you pay is the same either way. Commission has no bearing on which product wins a roundup or on any HNL Score, and we cover strong products that pay us nothing.
