Owen edits HNL Deals and owns the HNL Score rubric, which means every rating published here goes through him before it goes live. He decides which categories we cover, sets the criteria each roundup is judged on, and rewrites anything that reads like a product description instead of a recommendation. He also writes the home and garden section, the largest on this site, where he cares most about whether a product survives its second season. He is the person to contact when a rating looks wrong.
